These break down into five main areas.

Bespoke Development

We offer our services in any format you wish, but typically through:

• Board Workshops - aimed at companies of all sizes and in all sectors, these learning sessions cover a single subject for which you feel your board has a particular need. The session gives those Board members attending tools and techniques that they can apply immediately within the specific environment of your own business.
• Bespoke Programmes - These programmes help your senior team to work their way through to the achievement of a generic corporate outcome. Succession planning is an excellent example of the kind of situation in which a structured series of workshops and other interventions prove of great value.
• One to one briefings - These sessions are designed for individual Board members, and tend to be of most use to larger and listed companies. Sessions might help a Director understand the change in role involved in moving from a subsidiary Board to the main Board, for example, or to under-stand the Corporate Governance environment in different jurisdictions. They are also frequently used to help individual directors prepare for specific events or get up to speed on particular topics.

Consultancy

Our consultancy projects are precisely tailored to meet the requirements of your company, typically incorporating a number of interventions and over a period of between 3 and 9 months. We cover a range of issues including governance matters such as structure and ownership, strategic review and change management.

Board evaluation

As a critical success factor in any organisation, the Board’s performance should be monitored and evaluated regularly. We can provide the experience and objectivity to make this kind of regular audit a genuinely valuable experience.

Accredited Programmes

These are syllabus based programmes which give members of your Board a structured route to attaining the IoD’s Certificate and Diploma in Company Direction, and offer the opportunity to progress to Chartered Director status.

Facilitation

These workshop sessions provide an external perspective on internal strategic issues, with a Facilitator provided by us, and usually experienced in your industry sector at high level, controlling structured debate between Board members with total impartiality.

In-house training

All of the IoD’s courses can be conducted ‘in-house’.
