IOD Scotland now has two premises where its members can come to work or socialise. Edinburgh has been the traditional home of the IoD at the Royal Scots Club, but now we have opened up in Glasgow. See below for details.
IoD Scotland is based in the heart of the city at The Royal Scots Club providing members with overnight accommodation, meeting, dining and banqueting facilities.
Situated in one of Edinburgh’s finest Georgian streets, Abercromby Place, offering the very best in facilities and service. The Royal Scots Club is proud of its heritage, with courtesy, personal service and warm hospitality is at the very heart of the Club.
IoD member can relax in one of our 22 bedrooms each individually designed and traditionally furnished, with comfort and attention to detail being second to none. All our bedrooms offer complimentary secure wireless connectivity.
Our private meeting and dining rooms offer traditional charm for intimate gatherings to large presentations and receptions. Following an exciting 2 year re-development project, we are delighted to announce that our newest events suite was available from December 2010.
The Princess Royal Suite has a capacity for 160 guests banqueting style, 200 theatre style and 140 cabaret. The suite provides excellent meeting and events facilities, with fully integrated A/V and IT capabilities, including video-conferencing. Our existing Hepburn Suite also benefits from a brand-new adjacent meeting room and bar, offering an extended breakout area for this popular room.
The project also brings long-awaited lift facilities to all six floors of the townhouse, offering full disabled access to our bedrooms, meeting and private dining rooms.
Discounted rates for both accommodation and private meeting and banqueting rooms are available to all IOD members.
